I would not have any wedding
Gabo and I met around the 95 in a concert of Richard D. James, better known as Aphex Twin, both for strange reasons we had a ticket isolated from the rest of our friends who had traveled to Barcelona for long-awaited concert. At first I just looked at us askance as tarareƔbamos the grounders, but gradually went into confidence. Some synthesizers gave us chills, was the beginning of a song called Popcorn, cover a grounder, 1969. Gabo and I looked, our eyes sparkled, hold hands to feel something that flowed from one body to another. How not to choose it as our wedding waltz?.
The original version is Gershon Kingsley and was recorded in 1969. Popcorn became our song. An afternoon at a flea market find an original acetate disc recorded with this song and do not hesitate to buy it, eventually we found more than 100 different versions of Popcorn. This collection has grown so much as our love.
Gabo took me one evening to the viewpoint of the city, started the car stereo, Hot Butter played our song, the rhythm of moog took from his pocket a beautiful ring, the diamond was shaped like a piece of popcorn, so big and shiny I dazzled the time to put it against the light of the moon.
Our wedding was so fun and musical as it was our relationship. The two happy, we hold hands to enter the center of the track, it was time for our first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Rojas. The first chords of a weird version on an overhead that we bought our first trip to Peru led to our movements. Together they dance like that first time, the same force of attraction between us shook again. Popcorn sounds are combined in perfect harmony as we do. The pace is inevitable and all the wedding crowd stood up to go with our song.
