How I Saved My Family Budget $ 139.88 This Month
There's a simple thing we can all do to save money. A few months ago I was checking my phone bill and discovered that I had been charged for $ 3.99 per month for a period of about 6 months. The prosecution had called for Plan International, which I never signed up for. I do not call abroad, therfore I do not need that plan. I can not remember now what if the credit was given to me.
This month I decided to go online and pay my phone bill, like me, many of my accounts. And I clicked on the link that led me to my services. I've been in office for DSL and Dial-Up. Does anyone know if you have DSL you do not need the Dial-Up service. The monthly fee was $ 9.95. So I called SBC / ATT and spoke with someone in customer service. I wanted to know if the charge was primarily for Dial-Up and Internet hosting. My hosting is billed directly to my phone bill. So this means they have been charged $ 9.99 per month for a year, for a service I do not need or use. That amounts to $ 119.88. The customer service person explained that the Dial-Up has never been "merged" with the DSL account and that the Dial-Up was installed by the company temporarily until I get my DSL stuff by mail . So I credited for 11 months @ $ 9.99 each. That amounts to $ 109.89.
Yesterday I was on-line by going to my bank account. I discovered that $ 29.99 was charged for Sports Illustrated. I started a free subscription as a customer at Blockbuster video store. I found the letter describing Granted my subscription fee and the date on which my account would be charged. My account was charged on December 2 and the letter said that he would be charged on December 26. They took the money 24 days before. I canceled and my money will be refunded to my account within 10 days.
That amounts to $ 139.88. It 's near Christmas and I could use it to buy some things for those in need.
So let this be lesson. Remember to check your services and invoices for accuracy. The company is not necessarily looking out for you. You have to watch out for your hard-earned money.
Good Luck! ......
