Catholic Pride And Pride
Some media have described as "Catholic pride" acts these days in Madrid with Benedict XVI.
It's a way of trivializing a visit to deplore in the bottom of his soul and to mock the participants in it, by equating the gay parades. Of course this latter respect it and religious manfestacionres, however, despise.
Nor is this entirely accurate. If the act had been Islamic religious mob, for example, would care very much oppose it. Neither our government, so respectful to the anti-pope march, would have allowed something like this to protest the collective prayer of Ramadan, for instance.
Therefore, all the reasons given against the presence of the Pope have the common denominator of hypocrisy sure that your authors are not manifest when the successor to the Dalai Lama come to Spain. Nor did when Gadhafi and other bloodthirsty satraps visited our country.
And her hate is not even the enemies of human rights, but to the Catholic faith.
Rather than admit it directly, that would be honest, trivial arguments used, and the alleged cost of travel and its impact on the pocketbooks of taxpayers. Besides not being true, is protested in his day for the costs of international meetings such as the Conference of the Middle East? Or by the traffic court in sporting events like the Champions League? What about other questionable crusts, such as the Olympics?
Because, make no mistake, one thing is the cost and splendor, and quite another, though legitimate, hatred, yes, to a particular religion.
