I know what happens to me

Opinion piece: "Psychotherapy is a space to talk, without haste and in depth, about what concerns us." Author: CP Torrelodones, Center for Psychotherapy

There are many phrases that we must begin to set aside

"Sometimes we realize that it has upset the balance in which we lived, things happen that we do not understand, situations that make us suffer and also make those who are suffering around us.

We do not mean the problems and difficulties of everyday common: conflicts at work, the friction in the family, exhaustion ... are 'everyday woes' that we can cope with the help of a friend, a trip or even a restorative walk. We talk about something else, we refer to feelings that overwhelm us and we are not able to cope, we in some climates unbearable lived with children or a partner or panic attacks or outbursts of anger or being incapable of ending destructive to a relationship ... and many other seemingly incomprehensible circumstances we are out of control limiting our life, creating suffering and repeated again and again without knowing how to act.

It is easy to recognize and accept that we can not take alone. Deciding to seek help is a sign of strength and sometimes a long way in the one to leave out the 'I can handle it' or 'I know what happens to me.'

Time does not solve everything, sometimes it even more complicated.

The psychological distress need not be a dead end. Psychotherapy is an alternative to face him.

A place and a time to talk quietly, listening attentively to an experienced partner the opportunity to understand the hows and the whys of what we are experiencing, are some of the media from which opens the possibility of developing our own resources to figure out what makes us suffer. "
