Image: its components and their Importance
We often hear that the first impression is what counts and perhaps are not as aware of the importance of first impression we give to another in our interaction. In those first few seconds, we cause in the other a perception based on our actions, our clothing, our face, the way we communicate (verbally and nonverbally). Today we have tools to enhance the image and making a positive impact on the interaction with other people, from the first print to continuous treatment in circumstances that are (work, personal). The image is a resource we should know and use in order to obtain optimal results. Few people know the importance of image and benefit from what we project to the outside world. Our image is the outward manifestation of who we are on the inner level, our values and beliefs.
We often hear that the first impression is what counts and perhaps are not as aware of the importance of first impression we give to another in our interaction.
In those first few seconds, we cause in the other a perception based on our gestures, our clothing, our face, the way we communicate (verbally and nonverbally). Today we have tools to enhance the image and making a positive impact on the interaction with other people, from the first print to continuous treatment in circumstances that are (work, personal). The image is a resource we should know and use in order to obtain optimal results. Few people know the importance of image and benefit from what we project to the outside world. The image shown from the outside is more profound than many may believe and is also a manifestation of the internal of each person, their values, beliefs and traits. In other words, our image gives an account of our personality. The image is a way of communicating with others through clothing, accessories, makeup, hair, posture, smile and gestures, among others. Our image is perceived through the five senses and affects the perception of others in these five areas. Over 50% of communication is nonverbal: a person never fails to communicate, but at this point is not communicating verbally.
A sloppy or neat image can significantly affect our ability to progress in labor, even though we are highly trained to make progress in our work. We must enhance our image through the aforementioned components (hair, clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, posture, gestures), but always considering our personality. We can use trends in fashion, but the idea is to achieve a harmonious balance between inside and outside while being yourself. Project is not something we are not because our staff will be demonstrated in one way or another. It is important to work on our personal strengths and from there, improve our image abroad.
